Augers and auger conveyors

Augers are the most common means of transportation for bulk materials. The auger conveyor is a lesser-known version based on a spiral (just as an auger) within a channel (half pipe) ensuring that the spiral does not touch the bottom of the channel, since it is hanging between holders. Metaga manufactures from small augers to be installed in dispensing machines to large augers, 1.5m wide, for large volume transportation.

Because of extensive experience in augers and auger conveyor transportation we have developed a wide range of options:

The position of the geared motor can be modified around the auger (upper, lower or lateral position), placing it in front of or behind it, and we can use belts, chains, elastic or direct coupling for power transmission.

The auger can be installed in any position, even vertically if the available space requires it so, although productivity would be affected.

Product loading can be received from silos, hoppers, other augers or transportation means, even from a hip of the product.

For auger conveyors, Metaga manufactures a completely sealed lid system to avoid humidity within the system.
