Bucket elevators have one of the most simple and efficient operation systems for transporting a very wide variety of materials, from flour to aggregates, stones,… and other solid bulk materials.
At Metaga, elevator manufacturing is based on the construction of very solid heads and boots, since it is there where traction drums and belt fittings are put together. Among them, rails guide the belt where buckets have been screwed on for material transportation.
Both the head and the boot in our elevators are removable in order to make cleaning and maintenance easier. Besides, we also add several inspection doors for this kind of task.
In large elevators, we include an upper platform for daily maintenance of the geared motor, chain, pinions, and bearings. Depending on the facilities, we include a second platform for accessing the unloading mouth, on which we can attach a revolving dispenser or some pipes for classifying the transported products. For accessing these two platforms, we include a ladder between the rails, with its corresponding protection. The ladder includes the corresponding landing areas in compliance with the Risk Prevention Regulation in force.
